AISBackup Beta

Changes in version 7.0.

AISBackup Version 7.0 Build 512 (14 November 2025)

Updates:

  • Added 64-bit support for disaster recovery.
Previously AISBackup only supported disaster recovery from booting into legacy 32-bit mode, and this may not be possible on modern PCs. You may also save Bit Locker keys to the recovery media, these are encrypted and you are advised to password protect them when asked, this will add an extra level of encryption.
  • The Edit Boot Menu option now has a Boot Menu Validation option.
The Edit Boot Menu option has been updated to include a 'Boot Menu Validation' option, where you can assign Windows Recovery partitions to Windows, if for some reason you cannot boot Windows to recovery mode. To test if it is possible to boot to the recovery mode: whilst holding the shift key down restart the PC. Once rebooted choose Troubleshoot / Advanced Options, if the Command Prompt option is not shown then there is a problem. Click the back arrow twice and then click Continue to boot Windows then use the Edit Boot Menu / Validate Boot Menu and assign the recovery partition to Windows.
  • Advanced language option UTF-8 (beta) now supported.
If the PC advanced language option to use UTF-8 (beta) was set on the PC the previous version of AISBackup did not work.
  • Added support for Windows Server 2025.

Fixes

  • Fixed the problem where AISBackup could crash when backing up Files dated before 1st January 1980.
AISBackup now supports all NTFS dates between 1st January 1601 and 14th September 30828.
  • Problem downloading and sending e-mails.
AISBackup required an update to support improved website and some e-mail server security. It is not possible for the previous version of AISBackup to download updates.
